About Me
Hi, I'm Vic! I'm a 25-year-old writer, reporter, editor and photographer based in New York City. My writing and photography has appeared in outlets including The Daily Beast, Newsweek, People, Epicenter NYC, The Arizona Republic, The Arizona Daily Star and more. I have a Master of Arts in Magazine Journalism from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts in journalism from the University of Arizona.
Throughout my career, I've reported on entertainment, health, arts and culture, crime, the cannabis industry and more. I love writing profiles and features of any topic - but particularly around music, movies, TV and video games. I also run a Substack called Virtual Insanity where I explore different facets of arts and culture, provide media recommendations and post other written content.
Aside from my work as a journalist, I am a songwriter, music producer, DJ and multi-instrumentalist. You can check out my music on all streaming platforms – either under my artist name Vic Mystic or my band Welcoming Committee.
