About Me
Hi, I'm Vic! I'm a 24-year-old writer, journalist and photographer based in New York City. My writing and photography has appeared in Newsweek, People, Epicenter NYC, the Arizona Republic, the Arizona Daily Star and more. I have a Master of Arts in magazine journalism from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts in journalism from the University of Arizona.
Throughout my career, I've reported on entertainment, health, arts and culture, crime, the cannabis industry and more. I love writing profiles and features of any topic - but particularly around music, movies, TV and video games. I also run a Substack called Virtual Insanity where I explore different facets of arts and culture, provide media recommendations and post other written content.
Aside from my work as a journalist, I am a songwriter, music producer, DJ and multi-instrumentalist. You can check out my music on all streaming platforms – either under my artist name Vic Mystic or my band Welcoming Committee.
